Criminal Defense
Between them, attorneys Richard J. Curran and William G. Watson have handled approximately 10,000 criminal defense cases involving all felonies and misdemeanors. Mr. Curran is a former Pasadena and Anaheim police officer and Mr. Watson is a former Orange County Prosecutor. Mr. Watson's extensive experience in homicide cases has earned him selection by area judges on the Orange County Homicide Panel for more than 15 years. For more than 30 years, judges have selected both of them to provide criminal defense services.
We assist clients in the following types of criminal matters. Please see our criminal defense page for additional information.

Family Law
Mr. Watson assists families with divorce matters. We understand the difficult nature of these cases and provide compassionate and caring, yet effective, legal representation in all aspects of family law, including but not limited to the following:
- Contested and uncontested divorce
- Child custody and visitation
- Child support and spousal support
- Property division disputes
- Paternity
- Domestic partnerships
- Restraining orders
- Guardianships
- Adoptions
- Post-divorce modifications
We are also highly experienced in juvenile matters, which combine elements of both family and criminal law. Both Mr. Curran and Mr. Watson have been sworn as Referees in Orange County Juvenile Courts since 1980 handling delinquency and abused children matters. We also assist our clients with civil harassment cases, including those involving restraining orders.
Administrative Proceedings
We assist our clients with a number of administrative hearings. A component of many DUI cases is an administrative hearing in front of the California Department of Motor Vehicles ("DMV") to determine driving privileges and license suspension following the arrest. DMV hearings may also be necessary later to reinstate driving privileges. We also assist our clients with professional licensing matters, such as medical board hearings.
